Plagiarism Policy
Krygma: Journal of Theology and Christian Education is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring that all published works are free from plagiarism. Plagiarism is defined as the use of another person’s ideas, words, data, or creative work without proper acknowledgment.
All manuscripts submitted to this journal are screened for plagiarism using reliable plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts must be original works that have not been previously published and are not under consideration by other journals.
Types of Plagiarism
The journal considers the following practices as plagiarism:

Direct plagiarism without proper citation

Self-plagiarism or redundant publication

Mosaic plagiarism (patchwork plagiarism)

Inadequate or improper citation of sources
Similarity Threshold
Krygma applies a maximum similarity tolerance of 25%, excluding references, quotations, and common academic expressions. Manuscripts with a similarity index above 25% will be rejected or returned to the authors for revision, depending on the nature and extent of the overlap.
Editorial Actions
If plagiarism is detected at any stage of the editorial process, the manuscript will be rejected. In cases where plagiarism is identified after publication, the journal reserves the right to retract the article in accordance with COPE guidelines.
Authors bear full responsibility for the originality and integrity of their submitted manuscripts.
